Lead poisoning. In the 70s and 80s, because of leaded fuels, there was a high enough concentration of lead across the entire atmoaphere to cause acute damage to everyone living at the time.
Boomers did great things and were at their peak when they were poisoned.
That's why they think they can do no wrong, even though they're objectively retarded; they built a system for themselves that would ensure prosperity with minimal efforts.
Millenials were poisoned as children, which contributes to our generation being fucked. Even if you're halfway competent, you are and always have been more retarded than you would have been without being poisoned.
