The attitude stems from a decade of increased awareness with minimal (if *any*) action of significance. I can't blame him for the mentality he has.

You could post anything, from whites curbstomping niggers, posts detailing the rapidly shifting sentiment, to MechaHitler being voted president. He would still doom and tell you nothing happens in the comments.
