Yes, but there is a way to play them, by outsmarting them to a degree they struggle to snip together the footage to make you look bad. To a degree it would look crazily edited and barely coherent - so that people would demand the real, unedited interview. In which you can shine.

And the challenge isn't even that big - you just have to say the truth and present facts and statistics. People love graphs (at least I do), so print a bunch of those on hard paper and show them.
