I just realised that they're referring to the first episode when 1000 years pass outside of Fry's cryotube when the aliens destroy the planet. So this isn't some "what if" scenario, it actually happened cannonically.

Some theorized the jews are weakening the planet for an alien invasion, i frankly see it as plausible
