This isn't unique to Europe or Christianity thought. Throughout history, practically all (successful) kings have submitted to priestly authority or were priests themselves. Moses was a sort of archetype of this sort of priest-king, and if you pay attention to what the Bible says, ALL Christians are also priest-kings who will be crowned on the throne of God himself.

no it's not. Read John Locke. Locke explained that authority flows FROM God THROUGH the people into the monarch or government. The point is that the king is the servant of the people, not the other way around.

It's weird that a Trinitarian would get their panties in a twist when people mention God but not Christ. Aren't they one and the same substance or being to you?
But also who is the "Creator" to you? Did Christ create the universe or not?
