He was definately tormented by demons, who tend to target anyone who is attempting spiritual advancement. My grandmother was a complete schizo, had she born in a different time when (((psychiatry))) wasnt in vogue, she might have actually gotten help and become a living Saint instead of spending all of her adult life in utter misery drugged up in a hospital bed.
