It's a commandment that Moses received from God.
The apostles probably had a very difficult time converting pork eating pagans. So they just made up their own rules in order to attract more followers.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving. 1 Timothy 4
>And he [Jesus] said to them [Pharisees], “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
Acts 10:12-15;
>In it were all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds of the air. And there came a voice to him: “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” But Peter said, “By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.” And the voice came to him again a second time, “What God has made clean, do not call common.”

The words which I speak to you I do not say by Myself, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. 11 You should believe Me, that I am in the Father and the Father in Me. God's word isn't schizophrenic, it's all the same topic in Acts 10 all throughout, it doesn't suddenly change topics for the vision then revert back, so you can't just rip a verse out without understanding it.
