I find hydrogen peroxide to take care of anything that diet and exercise doesn't easily fix. Borax too.

otherwise if there is potential for harm there are probably a lot of other perhaps proven "natural remedies" to focus on instead
I read about it briefly before and it sounded like too high a dose could be harmful, something smaller might be beneficial. But sometimes when things can possibly be harmful I just skip it and focus on other things
I was taking vitamin d3 for immune system support during Canadian winters without knowing you need to take it with calcium. Everything's a balance, you boost one thing and there are consequences.
Best bet is a wildly varied diet and (fun) cardio exercise.
