She didn't get bail, she is in jail.

She was given bail. Whether or not she was able to find the $100k to post and get out is unknown, but the court is willing to let her walk.

Over a million bail? Sounds like they do not want her to walk.

If someone is still in jail, that does not really count as being given bail, since that is the same effect as being denied bail.

Being given the chance of bail is essentially like having no bail if you don't have 100k+ shekels lying around.

Certain offenses in certain counties carry a minimum amount. L.A. county court isn't as wacky as NYC.

Yeah.

Personally i would deny bail as a judge.

At least for violent people.
