My house is $300k. In my state of Minnesota, in order to live comfortably, you have to make a minimum of $95k a year. 10 years ago, my house would have been worth $180k. If they should ever allow housing prices to fall, I will lose bigly. Even though I got lucky, that's not a guarantee of prosperity.
