- It was some kind of blackmail and domestic or foreign government operation.

If *all* of that is true, why wouldn't they just fabricate a fake list and release it? Fill the list with the names of their political enemies. Burn them. Doesn't matter if it's real or not, you're throwing people to be ravenously devoured by angry hordes.
Wouldn't that be the single most logical thing to do? So why didn't they do it?
Conspiracy theorists simultaneously think that their fellow conspiracy theorists are intelligent, truthful, and honest, while the government is irredeemably evil and everything it does is a lie.
Except we have a weird situation where conspiracy theorists are now in charge of the FBI.
And they're saying "guys, there's fuck-all here". They have no reason to do that, it's burning the credibility they had before the FBI, so why are they doing it? Like literally what if they actually went in to the job intent on exposing the truth, they got the truth, and it turns out... the conspiracy theorists were wrong yet again?
Frankly I think that the FBI is willing to """burn""" it's credibility saying there was no list may actually suggest they're genuinely being truthful here, because there's no reason for them to do it. Whether that list never existed, or it did but was destroyed before the FBI got it, why would they torpedo their own credibility in the face of something "everybody" thinks is real?
And given the enormous number of retarded conspiracies that outright ascribe genuinely godlike powers of omnipotence to the FBI and CIA, how do you reconcile that they can fabricate an entire elaborate scheme to fake a school shooting, but can't fake a list of names?
This is the same shit as the JFK files. For my entire fucking life the conspiracy theorists have demanded unredacted JFK files. They got them, and they didn't say what they wanted them to say, so they just stay mad and will die mad. Why the fuck did they even demand them in the first place if they were just going to believe whatever shit they wanted to believe?
