That's about it, really. I know you guys must think I'm full of shit, but I tried for about three years to raise funds to redevelop a building as affordable studio apartments. No bank wanted to invest in the idea. They only wanted to fund "luxury" apartments. Young people need affordable studio apartments -- just enough room for their bed, a sofa, one or two cats and their Funko collection. HUD talks a big game with their Section 108 loans, but they only wanted to fund 10% of the project.

Like I said, HUD talks a big game with their Section 108 loans for building affordable housing. They claim they're willing to cover the whole cost so I wouldn't need any outside investors. Also, the more units, the more funding. That was under Biden, though, so maybe I wasn't greasing the right hands. I might try again under Trump if he hasn't defunded HUD already.
