If you need to understand who we are, ask the Irish and Scottish, our closest neighbors throughout history, what they think of the English throughout history. Ask them if they can think of any civilization that has ever committed so many atrocities against so few people in any other part of the world.
I'll answer for them: The English are merciless and bloodthirsty. They kill and torture because they enjoy it. They commit genocide and war crimes as if it were nothing. When they get accused of it, they proudly boast that they had done 10x worse. The Irish famine was CAUSED by the English, particularly the aristocracy. The Scottish learned that in order to keep the English as "neighbors" it was necessary to bear arms and use them frequently.
