Alligators are majestic and usually will leave you alone, unless you bother them.

Pro tip: nooo jumping in water if a full grown salt male is in there. Especially not during mating season.

Huge difference in aggressiveness between saltwater Crocs and American alligators though. With the alligator it's the mothers with eggs/young you should worry about.
