Call it lying, whatever, it's an investigation. It's wild to me people are so outraged about this fact. Everybody can lie unless they're under oath. Everybody lies to cops, cops can lie to you, great, it's a two-way street.

Save yourself 22 minutes and just watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkN4duV4ia0

Things you *have* to do with cops:

1) Identify yourself if you are driving.
2) Identify yourself if you are detained.
3) If you are detained, stay the fuck where you are.
4) If you intend to do the smart thing and shut the fuck up, verbally articulate that you invoke your fifth amendment rights.
5) If you're under oath, tell the truth. They usually know the answers to the questions already.
6) *If you say you will remain silent, the only word you should say is ["lawyer"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eFqkUbLk8A).*

The only things you should say to cops:

1) Why are you stopping me (or what is your ARS/probable cause)?
2) I am not discussing my day.
3) Am I being detained?*
4) What is the charge you are arresting me for.*
5) May I see the warrant (ONLY if they arrive to perform a search or arrest on a scene with no immediate probable cause).\**

\* They don't actually have to answer. Ask once, politely. If they don't answer, leave it.

\** If they don't present a warrant, comply anyway.

Things you shouldn't say/ask cops:

1) Where's your warrant (if you are driving or being arrested at a scene *with* probable cause). If you're arrested in your car they can search the fuck out of it. You'll look like a dumbfuck.
2) I know my rights! Cops also know your rights. If you're so thoroughly super-convinced with your Youtube-grade law education (that's a joke, idiots) that they're violating your rights, fucking let them and argue it in court.
3) Don't argue in general. That's what court is for, idiots. Cops aren't the ones prosecuting you, the government is.
4) If they start asking questions, tell them to mirandize you, verbally indicate you will remain silent. They can't ask you more questions without legal counsel.

Things you should / shouldn't do:

1) Explicitly state your intent to remain silent. Do not just remain silent.
1) Don't lie about your identity. You'll earn yourself an charge and they'll always figure it out.
2) Quit showing your ass? I don't know what the fuck the people on this forum are doing where getting arrested is a daily thing.
3) Quit smoking weed. It fucking reeks, everyone can smell it, and in states where it's illegal, if you're driving, that's often probable cause.
4) Don't raise your voice, don't argue, don't leave the scene unless they tell you, and don't fight. You will lose every time.
5) Be polite, respectful, and calm. Do everything they say. They say get out, get out. They say get in, get in.
6) Don't watch or believe a single thing anyone that has even a whiff of Sovereign Citizen faggotry about them. They're the dumbest fucking retards on the planet.
