Running 5k is cardio. Lifting is not.

I am primarily a lifter and do that run once a week at a 7 min per mile pace. Telling you you should do both there's no reason to do one or the other, you're missing out if you make an arbitrary decision

Lifting helped me with cardio. Cardio never helped me with lifting.
