Surprisingly it works well. Stir it first without introducing air to keep the foam down. I use that volume in a 2 gallon mixer, which gives extra head space for the pressure and works well for me.

Honestly, I was first worried that the salt would gum up the sprayer and make it useless, but it seems to be just fine.
