Imagine being told what to build by someone with no idea of how to build it.
I do renos so I do the "product management" myself, ie interfacing with the customer, understanding what they want done, and then telling them what actually can be done. It's the only part of the job I *don't* directly charge for because it's by far the easiest.
These are the middle manager jobs that kill a productive economy.

You know what's real motivating, as the person doing 'the real work'? Having your boss or 'motivator' rub in your face just how much easier they have it than you, to the point where you're convinced their job isn't even real.
