I haven't attempted what you propose, but if you are looking for a single graphic to illustrate "a picture is worth a thousand words," then I think the 1933 & 1948 religious population statistics can make quite an impact: https://web.archive.org/web/20180919120637/http:/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/?p=85432 Of note here, be sure to take a look at the decline in European Christians in that fifteen-year period of time!
