Remember that time the military played war games with the Iran scenario and got it's butt kicked? Turns out the Iranian side was "cheating" by using motorcycle couriers. It's awfully hard to listen in on messages that are never transmitted.

Good times

Hey, how did the whole Afghanistan thing go? Are they speaking English and eating burgers yet?

Do you see why I lost zero winks of sleep over Iran? I suspect this could ruin Israel forever. There's no way the US could conquer them. Israel can't do it either.

Iran existed when the Romans were wearing baby diapers. It fought the Romans multiple times. Alexander never defeated it, only claimed the throne for himself.

You guys don't lose hope. I'd bet on Iran if I was a betting man. They never needed nukes in the first place.

iran indeed won't go anywhere, but regime change is always a possibility and has happened several times in the last 100 years. a relentless US-backed air campaign on infrastructure + some agitators on the ground might have the desired result. it's no secret that iran is at the weakest it's been for a long time, which is precisely why israel chose to attack, they might not get another opportunity like the present.

how weak though, i can't really gauge, plus their ties with russia and china are quite strong. on the other hand, it seems like their air defenses are practically non-existent?

i'm not placing any bets just yet, way too early to tell and we haven't really seen the scope of iran's response either, or the full scope of israel's attack for that matter

Yeah, biut remember: the last time the US pulled a regime change on Iran led directly to the Ayatollahs taking over the country.
