Everyone is pointing this out. If we can assume that Trump played his 4D chess and sent ICE to provoke this response, these images are going to be milked for all their juice by Republicans in their Midterm campaigns. However, will it actually lead to anything? Doubtful.

He's shaping up to be a do-nothing POTUS because he still cares what the NYT prints about him.
