I've considered it, but I enjoy my night vision, blurry as it may be without my corrective lenses.
That and I pray on it and I keep getting a negative answer.
I've come to the conclusion that it boils down to the Sin of Pride. No different than the creatures that want to distort God's image because some gnostic crazytown shit in their head says that they're in the wrong body.
I've gotten it done but it was from a White man with many, many years experience. I was told I would still need readers at around age 40. I admit it's nice not having to be concerned about loss or breakage of glasses anymore.
I'm past 40. I never considered lasik. Most opthalmologist never get the procedure done themselves. It's nice to remove my glasses and be able to see up close now.
I have astigmatism in one eye that makes it hard to read words and letters from far away, on signs and menus or even a tv screen or poster from a distance. The letters begin to blur. I've been told that lasik surgery can fix it.
Also, among people i personally know who have had it done, I've only heard positive things.
lasik historically is one of the safest procedures you can get. don't go to some fucking sheboon DEI hire who got her opthamology degree because she had enough diversity points, and has no idea what she's doing.
when you're doing anything life altering, you need to stop and smell the fucking roses. DEI is for suckers and losers. especially nowadays, you must walk into everything assuming that anyone not white or asian is significantly less qualified until proven otherwise, because that's literally what DEI means.
the guy i got my lasik done with literally worked on over 20 patents for lasik, and had already done tens of thousands of procedures. he openly said, you're welcome to shop around, but the easiest thing you can do to prequalify a doctor is not just ask the # of procedures they've done and their complication rate, but ask what their acceptance rate is. 60%+ of people who walk in the door CANNOT get lasik because the doctor already knows the outcome will be shit. for example, if your astigmatism is bad enough (and most people with it... it is), you cannot have lasik (might still qualify for PRK). but the shitty doctors will allow practically fucking anyone in, because they can't get anyone else to walk in the door. it's a self destructive prophecy because then they have more and more failed and mediocre outcomes than if they only took people who were actually qualified.
I think there were supposedly 4 "suicides" by capitol police at Jan6 psy-op. The statistical probably of four of them soon committing suicide after the psy-op is extremely unlikely.
Good gravy
I only post this story to warn against Lasik. Elective surgeries are often the most dangerous.
