In a related aside, I dunno how the warstrike guys so brazenly brush aside vaccine controversy. I wish I had a way to push back on them. I'm not paying to superchat them on some random thing payment processor at 4 in the morning only to not be read.

I don't know or understand how this happened, and don't believe it.
Numerous Indian sources seem to be reporting '2.00', and India's Total Fertility Rate (TFR) does seem to be dropping quickly over time. Hence why I thought India's TFR was much higher, like 2.60. But, as it turns out, there has been a significant drop over the past decade.
Luckily, in this sense, Indians are quite feministic (female police are common, for instance), abortionistic, and, compared to their western neighbours, pro-LGBT. There is no way that these factors are not at least in small part responsible for that significant decline.
