Yes, they did. I just don't know enough about how our money is supposed to be utilized when I'm met with a question like that, I don't know the answer.

Same with things like property tax.

I'm wanting to understand the ideal way that a society to function that isn't jewed.

it's just a tired argument that lolberts make, I'm not going to do anything other than be derisive towards it

I'm sure you could ask the AI how communities built roads before taxes, and it would be happy to instantly give you a dozen paragraphs or more about how different cultures all around the world funded civil society before the Advent of taxation or even fiat currency

I always wish the roads would be worse so that people don't use roads near my property as bypass.

I want roads that are practically impassable without me going into 4 wheel drive and having superior suspension.
