No, he invaded Russia because an attack from the Russians was imminent and predicted to occur within ~3 weeks. In hindsight we can all be smart about it and claim that was false, but the communist threat clearly loomed on the horizon, and Hitler wanted to save Europe from it. Even if I could go back in time and tell Hitler what will happen, it wouldn't be certain. If Germany wouldn't have attacked, the Soviets might have attacked in 8 weeks instead, after they were prepared for the invasion. So even hindsight is insufficient.
If you want to know what he wanted to save Europe from, ask Middle and Eastern Europeans, who got utterly fucked by Soviets, with the damage still lasting today. Aside from that, the West (namely USA) has materially supported the Soviet Union even before they entered the war directly.
You think it was "blind ideology", but the blindness is in fact on you. You filled the gaps, and it turned out to be silly.
Don't think people oppose your opinions because you are too much of a "maverick." It's because they are objectively lackluster. People around ConPro are quite knowledgeable and smart, so don't just assume some ignorant-bigoted view by default. Instead ask yourself what you yourself did wrong *first*.
