Oh gee, let’s take five seconds to reflect on the scenario and consider the *consequences* of the point of divergence, rather than just the immediacy of the moment.
1. Non-net taxpayers lose the vote
2. Voting population refuses to pay for further expansions to welfare (from which they cannot afford to benefit)
3. Voters vote for the drawdown of welfare programs
4. Illegals, et al. forced to deport themselves without welfare **(oh look; the majority of nonwhites)**
5. Net taxpayers, being overwhelmingly white, vote to end all affirmative action programs, forcing nonwhites out of fake positions in companies
6. All wages being higher and welfare being smaller, taxes have no excuse not to be lower; thus the voting population votes to lower taxes
