This is the actual reason the abolition movement was a thing, the deranged lunatics who believed in racial equality were originally a fringe minority of what otherwise was a (White) Nationalist movement. Theres nothing immoral about slavery from a Christian perspective, provided the slaves are well treated and given an opportunity to buy their own freedom or be manumitted after a certain time period if they want to be, but from a Nationalist perspective, having a class of foreign slaves in your country is a demographic time bomb waiting to happen.
