There are two women in my personal orbit that have mulattos.

There are at least two more that I see occasionally in the course of my job.

Agreed, it's not *common* ... but it is uncomfortably more than you'd like to believe.

Mixed children are one of the many negative externalities of the sexual revolution. I doubt a statistically significant amount of racially pure people (of any race) intentionally create mixed children.

Culturally, it's more complicated than that.

Asians and Indian culture has, for thousands of years, considered tanned people to be low income illiterate farmers and lighter shit-skins to be rich and educated (sun-exposure).

You'll see billboards advertising skin whitening lotions all throughout South Asia.
