Imagine going to a restaurant for a fucking steak anyway. I can panfry a superior steak on my castiron in 15 minutes for like 18 bucks. Restaurants never get steak right; you either get a fancy restaurant that ruins the simplicity of steak or a goyslop chain that outright cooks it wrong.

Fr. Restaurant steaks are $55 for a $10 new york strip covered in butter, rosemary, and sauces. I can buy a $12 ribeye, dry brine it overnight, and 20 minutes after it hits the pan be sitting and eating

Sometimes i get good deals on london broils and brine them and slow cook them or make beef stew out of it with stuff from the garden tossed in (carrots, potatos, red onions, celery, etc.)

The ones near me know what they're doing and deserve every dollar!

I once had a Longhorns go through two ribeye's before they got it right on the third. I said medium and they kept bringing it well-done. Finally I said to bring it rare, "I want it bleeding." Well, look at that: *medium!*

That's great if you never leave town.
