It would probably be a lot more difficult to study and measure, if someone was creative or not, or how much or how little, and then figure out which genes were associated with that behavior.
You're right, though. This definitely seems like speculation, but it's still a decent speculation. Seeing east Asians excel academically is widely observed, but their excellence seems to revolve around rote memorization and repetition, not around creative endeavors. Their societies and culture seem to be set up similarly, where everyone thinks and acts the same, which enables them to ward off diversity better than us. Whereas our creativity promotes free thinkers and inventors more, but invites subversion and diversified thoughts more than them, which can lead to more fracturing than them.
While this is all speculation, we don't need to know everything, and have everything confirmed, to know the truth. As a small example, I don't need to understand calculus to know that 1+1=2. Similarly, I don't need to have specific genes studied, measured, and confirmed to know that some people are more creative than others. And as an additional caveat, to repeat the NAxALT fallacy to cover all aspects, there are creative east Asians, but there seem to be fewer of them, and they're "shaped" differently somehow.
In any case, I find the lack of "peer reviewed" "double blind" studies on a subject to be more fascinating, as it's unknown and open to speculation, and promotes a special feeling that I think a lot of explorers of old felt while peering into the unknown. It also shows a wide gap between those who can observe properly, and those who can't, which is exacerbated on race differences because lots of people are entirely prevented from seeing any distinction by the propaganda.

Here’s the thing… can we even say that? No, really. *“Asians are good at rote memorization”* is just about all you can actually say. How can you trust their IQ numbers? We have infinite proof that slants (not just China) LIE ABOUT ALL THEIR STATISTICS and that cheating is endemic within their education systems. Moreover, the Japanese and Koreans send their kids to school 14 hours a fucking day. Of course you’re going to remember things for tests when it’s the only life you know.
I think there is more to it. Creativity in itself is the ability to deviate from the norm, from existing ideas or culture, to create something that is different (and usually new). It is necessary to employ humor, as it's the ability to say things that are unexpected, it is necessary to invent things, it is necessary for endeavors in which the outcome is unclear, it is fundamental to question existing societal-cultural norms, to entertain hypotheticals on a deeper level.
It is the ability to get into the meta-level of topics. Instead of just answering a question obediently, it allows someone to ask why the question is asked in the first place. It's the ability to break rules, to find solutions to problems by having the ability to zoom out.
Orientals lack this ability. It's not just creativity - the lack of it leads to extreme obedience to the system, to their authorities, to their culture, to their norms. Everything is rigid, and nobody wants to change anything, no matter how bad things get.
Japanese literally have problems leaving a company because sometimes they don't let them. They are inclined to become drunktards just to fit in, and to sleep on the work place as to show how dedicated they are.
No matter how intelligent you are, if you are unable to disconnect yourself from reality as it is, to have ideas and pursue them, you end up a worker drone forever, only being able to obey the commands of a superior, but be unable to do anything yourself.
The reason communists killed so many Chinese (50+ million) is because they were excessively obedient and just rolled with it. Was it fear? Or was it actually just the joy of mindless obedience? To prove how GOOD you are by doubling down on it?
Did any significant civilization develop without a written language?
Several European empires, the Aztec, Egyptian, Japanese, Chinese, Tibetan, etc, who all marked the land with their architecture, had written languages.
I’m sure it got nuked off YouTube. Found an odyssey link here to a talk. Haven’t sifted through all of it but someone posted it here originally :

Someone said to me whites did better in Europe because Europe had rivers for whites to overcome. Like quarrying stone and transporting it. No other continent has rivers apparently!
