You'd think there'd be a warehouse's worth of these purported lamp shades. Why lampshades specifically? Why not book covers or something?
This is a genuine good question, why the fuck lampshades, and soap (something that most hasidics are allergic to)

If I recall correctly it had to do with some lamp than some officer had in his home. However it was actually pig skin or something like that and otherwise innocuous. Check out "Buchenwald: A Dumb, Dumb Portrayal of Evil". I forget if the lampshades are mentioned specifically but it goes over a lot of the ridiculous claims about soap and shrunken heads and such.
