They're called "Excise Taxes"
And I'm not a proponent of *any* new taxes, and in fact want most of them to disappear. I'm not so much of a "Taxation is Theft" retard like the lolberts because *some* taxes are required for the proper operation of the government. But ... we have to make sensible cuts.
We get there by removing the bureaucrats that seem to be unaccountable, any and all DEI bullshit, the fed and the IRS.
How is a government supposed to provide for the common defense without money? Excise or "sin" taxes or import taxes (tarrifs) and even taxes on remittance would be enough for a small government that does what it's supposed to. And that's the common defense, as put forth in the Constitution.
