Penalty should have been death. When Bush Jr. was in office, a negro James Byrd was dragged to death by some White guy. The left tried to turn it into a coup against Bush, who was the most milquetoast conservative possible. Anyway, Whitey got sentenced to death for the murder. It was national news. I've barely heard of this crime.
