It is quite a cohencidence almost every war america fought "against" communism seems to have resulted with the commies gaining more land, from "aiding" the white army in Russia to fighting the commies in vietnam and korea. Almost like the goal wasnt containing communism, but rather killing anyone who might want to fight against via attrition.
