They have lived in la la land their whole lives. Imagine how terrifying it would be in your old age to realize it was all a lie and how complicit you've been in the destruction of what was good and grand. It's a lot easier to attack innocent people than to hold yourself accountable.

Things were way worse in the 80s than you guys understand because the "true" inflation rate was much higher. The government numbers are always lower!
