Rig up a key fob to emit the same chirp as a dying smoke detector, set up cameras in a crowded store, set it off at regular intervals, and take note of who turns their head when it happens.

That chirp has been memed so much it's burned into my brain. Was at a hardware store once and heard it above me. Felt like a mix between deja Vu and being on candid camera.

I like it when chirp videos mention it right away, because whenever I watch a "meme" video and the joke is playing a very loud chirp, my dogs freak out! I can tell it hurts their ears even though the volume is low, something about the frequency of it idk.

It'd suck to be a pitbull.
