It's like the sunken cost fallacy every time (yes replying to my own comment). We race mix, crime skyrockets, educational outcomes plummet, but we pick the 1/1,000,000 cases where a black/White couple produces successful offspring and say "Look! Isn't integration great!?"
No, no it's not. If we have to destroy everything beautiful just to create a mediocre version of what we already had... then it's clearly a net loss.
Imagine if we did this with literally anything else. If 99% of Ford trucks catastrophically failed in the first mile you know boomers would have a stroke out of rage yet if something is damaging to society 99% of the time they're happy to keep it because it was okay the 1% of the time.
Most people--including White people, not just darkies--have no abstract thinking abilities. If it's not a singular object they can touch they don't understand it. Boomer types understand that things have gotten worse since they were kids but then literally can't figure out why because it is impossible for their neurons to work like that. It's like trying to explain to a toddler that the Earth orbits the sun, it's outside their comprehension. Voting was always a mistake.
