Why do you think that southern Italy isn't known for much of anything beyond the Mafia and other criminal organizations, while the north is where all of Italy's prestigious things are produced, such as Ferrari and Lamborghini sports cars?
Why do you think that an entire political party, Lega Nord, was formed with the agenda of separating northern Italy from the south until Salvini turned it into another centralist party? Or why certain political parties, such as the Five Star Movement, are, in turn, only popular in southern Italy?
It's because many Italians don't see themselves as one people. Southern Italy may as well be Brazil. The amount of graffiti and vandalism there is what you'd expect to see in Fortaleza, Recife, or some other northern Brazilian cesspool. Sicily, in particular, was occupied by North Africans for centuries.
There are plenty of supposed 'Greeks', 'Italians', and 'Spaniards' who I'd rather replace with literal Arabs like the Assad family or Sami Zayn. I've seen plenty of people who are 50% European and yet who fit the European ideal more than many Meds. I for one would rather live around the Assads than around literal Mafiosi.
can confirm, the difference between northern italy and southern are night and day, granted even the northern port towns are filled to the brim with shitskin invaders, mostly managing small shops and street corners with dubious wares
but in terms of Whiteness Northern italy the people are like milky White, but south? tan everywhere, and some are defacto coffee color
but i might get crucified for saying this... but southern italy has MUCH better cuisine
at least in my experience, Arancini with truffle and cheese is definitely top tier
in terms of experience... i dunno both the north and the south has typical italian scammers
while i was in Genoa i was shopping for truffles and the dago had the audacity to say its 500 euros for a 90G of truffles (in Savona i bought 33G for 18 euros)
but on the flip side, in Sicily Tauromina, they had a neat little trick
i asked for an espresso in one of the cafes, handed 3 euros (as it was on the priceboard) and when i asked "to go" he said that's an additional euro
i immediately asked the money back and to this day i'm not sure if he gave me exactly 3 euros (it was 2 coins, one of 2 and 1 of 1)
what kind of nogsense allows them to charge an entire euro for a teeny tiny paper cup of espresso? i went to the bakery and the espresso was much cheaper too (and it was paper cup)
the lesson is, italians are a mixed bag, some of them are act White while a big chunk of them act like fucking jews
regardless their countryside is extremely beautiful.
