Yeah people who say "just cook at home" are ignoring this lol. I remember around 2019 I could get like 6 lbs of sirloin steaks at kroger on sale for like 18 bucks total, now I'm lucky to get a couple small packages for that much.
Well, cooking at home has always been cheaper and preferable, but inflation has hit everything, not just goyslop from the grocery store and restaurants. I cook almost exclusively at home, and my grocery bills have still tripled.

This is why I gave up. With two kids we're getting around $1000 worth of food completely free every month. Serious jobs just aren't worth the trouble anymore.
now imagine having to wageslave that hard, when sheniqua and paco the taco can just easily get free food via EBT
Then i have just a small fraction of stuff i can barely budget, milk beef, veggies some staples and it's $100 of my own hard-earned money.
He gets nothing but pre-packaged junk (to be fair, he can't stand to cook very well anymore) while I cook from scratch; it really is that simple.
