If you have to verbally invoke your right to remain silent lest your silence be used as evidence against in you a court of law, then it's not a "right".

Fucking legal system man.

It is a Right, but the court can decree on its own administrative procedures. See how that works?

Yeah, you have your Rights out on the street, but when you walk into court they make you play by their rules, contrived and convoluted rules that they've designed to 1.) make you require a lawyer, because this BS is too complicated to navigate on your own, and 2.) create obstacles for you and opportunities for them to deny or suppress your Rights.

It's sounds cringe to say, but the whole system has been perverted and weaponized against us.

Good video but the tldr is that if police want to arrest you they can do basically anything they want and justify it with some stupid pretense. Your only defense is not committing any actual crime in the process, because while the officers may be able to get anyway with anything, the court is unlikely to convict you of anything with out some actual evidence.

Yes, more or less. If the cops ever do want to arrest you, it's best NOT to resist them (but make it vocal on video that they're hurting you), then sue them for wrongful arrest. American cities pay out over $3 BILLION in settlements for police misconduct every year. And that's just the pre-trial settlements to make the case go away; they spend even more on cases that actually prevail through trial.

So, yes, let the cops arrest you and then sue them for a new car.
