My tentative theory is that it's a clown world symptom. Being a nurse in a homogenous society with controlled density in its population is probably a lot different from putting your back through the wringer for endless hordes of niggers, spics, and other entities that your mind instinctively realizes are not "yours." And of course, nons are far worse to deal with as patients.
