Were you alive in the 90s though? In America "fiddlesticks" used to mean "oh no" but you never hear it anymore.
I never lived there, maybe it's just what they told Americans in school.

I learned it from a woman, and you know how reliable women are. Could be all made up.
I just had heard affentoll but never equated it to "cool like a black man, the monkey man" until now.
