I'm not a biologist but i know women don't have dicks and if a man cuts his off he doesn't become a woman.
I don't have to own a video game company or publish video games to know that developing a video game doesn't require college just like i didn't learn visual basic or html by attending classes.
Anyways i dont want to argue with you much more about it due to me not caring enough. I don't claim to have all the answers. I just don't think your answer really pins the tail on the donkey.

If you did own a video game company, would reach in your pocket and hire just anyone or would you just set a minimum qualification? That's half of what college is about: qualifying people so that employers don't have to guess or hope that you know what you're doing. Making modern games is hard work that requires a dedicated education with skills you're not going to learn proficiently watching YouTube tutorials.
