Not sure about passports, but that design on them was approved in 1782. Which was also around when central bankers were making their first takeover attempt.
Edit: No, turns out they rearranged the stars sometime later. The approved design doesn't have the star of rempham, but the first physical one in the 2nd link below which they stamped things with does.

Yeah, and American masons in the founding era weren't necessarily the same as later ones. There's some interesting letters Washington left behind where he was talking with someone warning about a new group called the Bavarian Illuminati that was taking over European lodges in the 1770s.
That's the great seal of the United States. I think it's appropriate.
By the way, jews don't have a monopoly on the 6 pointed stars. Stars are an American symbol and many of them come with different numbers of points, some of which are 6 pointed.
