I want a source for that image so I know what its actually trying to portray. The one on the top looks like some sort of Nog.

They appear to be physiognomy drawings by Charles Le Brun. I don't know the exact context for these ones

It looks like he wasnt attempting to portray specific races, but rather attempting to judge personality based on whatever animal one looked like. Apparantly the two in the picture are the camel and the eagle.
