Boomers always talk about being "responsible" by saving money, completely oblivious that inflation is a penalty on savings. If you're not storing your money in an asset or instrument that's keeping up with or staving off some of that inflation, you're fucked.

It makes as much sense as "saving" milk. It's a perishable thing.
