These guys bought into the lie when they were teenagers. He lied about his age to enlist. How do you tell a guy like that he actually made the world worse, after years of being called a "hero" and living with the memory of friends and compatriots who died for the same lie?

We can't expect these guys to admit that to themselves, much less anyone else.
