Nah, he's just a typical boomer. My father would do the exact same thing. I don't think some people realize just how terrible the boomers are. I've had my father say "I can't wait until White people are wiped out" (he's White) and stuff like "it's time we give the other races a chance. White people had theirs..." etc...
Boomers hate their kids more than anything in the world.
It's my guess as well. I haven't met a single boomer that didn't habitually watch TV in their free time. They have minor hobbies, but the lion's share of their time is spent in front of the TV.
My mother said similar statements. She also has said, in sentences immediately adjacent to each other in a conversation, that she wants western civilization to fall, and that she really loves Germany and would love there is she could.
