Funny, i've never seen them say this when a muslim does something wrong. If the murderer were a muslim , the Christians will be complaining up and down about islam. I've never seen a Christian saying we need to "forgive" muslims, yet i've seen so many Christians say that Austin's father did the right thing in forgiving the nigger murderer .

Yeah, people misunderstand that all of the calls to "love your enemy" and be "meek" are essentially condemnations of proportionate retaliation, IE seeking personal vengeance *without respect to justice*. "Turn the other cheek" in no way implies withholding justice, rather its a call to attempt de-escalation *in relation to personal slights*. You cannot turn the other cheek when someone else is being wronged, because *it isnt your cheek to turn*.

yeah, what I generally assumed, and what anyone with half a functioning brain and some reading comprehension to understand the full context of the verse should take from it. Unfortunately, most people listen to pop "preachers" (aka wolves in shepherd's clothing) and (((Hollywood))) to get their Doctrine, instead of looking at what the Church actually teaches or bothering to read Scripture for themselves.

Yeah, LMAO, thats basically what a lot of the teachings on Meekness amount to. Of course, some literal Saints have taken it to the extreme of complete pacifism to emulate Christ on the Cross, but even Christ Himself was no pacifist (especially what He was doing *after* He died on the cross, namely beating the tar out of the devils in Hell), but generally we arent expected to imitate Christ to that degree unless the opportunity for martyrdom presents itself.
