100%. The main reason I'm still on here is for the occasional debate on politics or economics (and I personally run counter to a lot of people here on some issues).
But 90% of this forum has devolved into, as you said, ragebaiting and shitposts. There's a lot more people agreeing every day with what we say and this site has become an echo chamber.
But well, what's to be expected? A website that has no new growing userbase will eventually die, and because we're a reddit clone on a forgotten back alleyway of the internet, no, this forum will not get traction. No matter what. It got traction on reddit, because reddit is *there*, it's easily accessible and everyone knows what it is. Scored. What is scored? Does anyone know? The fact that there's 2 (actually three, counting arete) websites for the same fucking thing makes it less accessible than it already is.
So the result is a hivemind and a circlejerk. Conpro is having its death rattle at the moment because the userbase that originally came from reddit is filtering out and there aren't any bodies to replace it.

This is probably the unfortunate truth. I was planning on trying to revitalize this place with propaganda campaigns but thanks to consumeproduct of 2017-2020, I have finally reached a point in my life where I simply don't have time. There's a girl in my life now, I am holding a job.. I can't dedicate 10 hours a day to running alts and making memes anymore.
